After working hard for seventeen years, our efforts were not wasted. Today, V-MARK has already built up extensive connections with overseas traders throughout the world. Many foreign manufacturers have appointed V-MARK as their sole agencies or distributors and granted the exclusive right to sell and distribute their products in certain countries and territories. Under the circumstances, V-MARK HOLDINGS LIMITED formed in April 1992 as a group of associates and subsidiary companies. At present, V-MARK already become a comprehensive and diversified enterprise which is footing in Hong Kong, facing to China and exploiting abroad.

Why we chose "V-MARK" to name our company, because it means the mark of victory. In 1978, we made resolutions to establish V-MARK TRADING COMPANY to struggle against difficulties in commercial activities. During the early stage, it built up a flourishing business in China trade by selling general merchandise. Soon after we made every effort, V-MARK TRADING COMPANY acquired the China Sole Agency of Aerospace Finishes from AKZO COATING DIVISION of the Netherlands as well as the Sole Agency of Aluminium Evaporators and Heat Exchangers from ALGOODS of Canada. All these products were successfully sold into China through V-MARK's channels and gained a good reputation.

Due to the rapid expansion of business, V-MARK RESOURCES LTD. was registered in 1988 and V-MARK AVIATION COMPANY was set up in 1991. Once the head office had been consolidated in Hong Kong, V-MARK began to look abroad. The emphasis was put on the development of export business. We have been exporting consumer goods to East European countries since 1991.

To cope with demand of China's technical reformation, V-MARK EQUIPMENT AND MATERIAL COMPANY LIMITED was registered in 1993. This company specializes in the ferrous and non-ferrous metalworking field such as offering the line of making inner groove copper coil/tube, advance casting technology and machines for manufacturing motorcycle aluminium wheels and galvanizing line, etc. from overseas manufacturers but also selling second-hand or reconditioned equipment's for Chinese factories if they required.

Furthermore, V-MARK associated with Gate Gourmet International AG (a subsidiary company of Swissair) and several Airlines of China National Aviation Corporation in applying for a franchise to provide Air Catering Service in the Hong Kong's new airport. The agreement has already been signed by Provisional Airport Authority Hong Kong. It will be licensed by Hong Kong Government and the Sino British Joint Liaison Group's airport committee later. And then, we will made preparation for air catering facilities which shall be operated on airport opening. It is estimated that 15,000 meals will be prepared each day for airlines.

V-MARK has worked together with two subsidiary companies of Hong Kong Wharf Holdings Limited--The Hong Kong School of Motoring Ltd. and The Autopass Co., Ltd. also joined with Beijing Xin Feng Motoring School in setting up a joint venture company. The first target was to introduce the most advanced technology in establishing a fully automatic Toll-Gate System for Beijing Capital Airport Expressway. It is intended that this system will be promoted to the network of highways of main cities in China.

V-MARK cooperated with the New Communication System Department of Mitsui & CO., LTD. and formed a business group in Beijing. This group will be handling various communication business, setting up communication network, selling different kinds of communication apparatus and arranging financing operations. The group has signed an agreement with China United Telecommunication Corporation for the development, construction and investment in communication networks of several main cities of China. Further to the fast development of China's communication service, we believe that there will be a potential market and a predicable feedback.

Obviously, the activities of V-MARK is not only playing the role as sole agencies for those foreign manufacturers but also handling many products in import and export. Over the past few years, V-MARK has been acting as an investor for the establishment of joint ventures in China as well as in Hong Kong or abroad.

The rapid growth of V-MARK has shown that a vivid private enterprise was founded and originated in Hong Kong since 1978. As a matter of fact, V-MARK's excellent links with China are underlined by joint ventures and China trade. However, V-MARK would not neglect development business relation with new markets such Hungary, Thailand and Philippines.
